Thank you for your interest in joining our team! Before you apply, please read this important information in its entirety, as it will help you know what to expect in this application process.
We are currently accepting applications for our 2026 season, which runs March through November. We are hiring for Hell’s Backbone Grill, Little Bone Food Truck, Boulder Mountain Lodge, and our 6.5 acre farm. Our current season ends November 30th, 2025 and it is our strong preference that you come for a visit while we are open if possible!
Please familiarize yourself with our town, restaurant, and core values before you apply. In addition to the information and stories on our website, our cookbooks are a wonderful resource for learning about Hell’s Backbone Grill & Farm as they feature our origin and ongoing story as well as our recipes. Some important things to note about working with us:
Our business has greatly expanded over the last year due to our acquisition of the Lodge and the addition of our Little Bone Food Truck. Therefore, we have many, varied positions available! In addition to FOH & BOH positions in the restaurant, we are hiring for our food truck, our farm, and the Lodge.
Experience is strongly preferred but not required. Equally important is that you are hard working, flexible, positive, and kind-hearted.
We prioritize applicants who can commit to the entirety of our season (early March through November).
We also prioritize applications that either have been to Boulder/HBG or are able to come visit in the interview process - it’s hard to understand how remote it is here unless you’ve actually been here, and we want to set people up for success.
Because of the remoteness and lack of public transportation, you MUST have your own transportation (car or motorcycle).
Housing is hard to come by in Boulder. We have housing available in our 9-bedroom staff house, so please let us know if you need housing when you apply.
We are not a vegetarian restaurant. If you are a vegetarian, you must be able to taste and talk in an informed way about the food we serve.
